On December 10, 2015, the Library invited key stakeholders and members of the public to an event to meet the Midtown renovation design team at the Mid-Manhattan Library. Francine Houben, founder and creative director at Mecanoo, and Liz Leber, partner at Beyer Blinder Belle, shared their respective portfolios of related work, and their approaches to similar large public projects. They were joined by NYPL leaders, including Chief Operating Officer Iris Weinshall and Chief Library Officer Mary Lee Kennedy.
